LOGO | VISUAL IDENTITY | PROMOTIONALWheelhouse is the only statewide trade association in Washington dedicated to supporting creative workers and creative businesses. I was tasked with creating a bold visual identity for the orginaztion that would resonate with the target audience of creative entrepreneurs in Washington State.
Brainstorming
I kicked off the design process with some brainstorming and sketches. The ideal logo would reflect Wheelhouse’s unwavering commitment to Washington’s creatives and stand out in the arts nonprofit world. The logo also needed to avoid references to any specific geography in Washington State.
First Drafts
Four logo iterations were presented to the Wheelhouse leadership team, opening up new directions to explore.
Final Round
After narrowing the field down to just two, the final logo was selected for its boldness and ability to stand out.
